Does the fix-and-retake loop work?
In 89% of retakes (3,406 of 3,836), the learner scored higher than on their first attempt at that test, by a median of 36 percentage points.
How we count: each learner who took the same test more than once counts as one retake; we compare their first attempt with their latest one, as a percentage of full marks with UPSC negative marking. Custom practice tests and tests whose length changed are left out.
What it does not show: a retake repeats the same questions, so part of the gain is remembering them. It shows that learners act on their weak areas and improve on them; it is not a prediction of a UPSC rank.
Mains answers: checked within 1 day
5 evaluations returned so far; 5 within 24 hours; median time under 1 hour.
How we count: time from the moment an answer is submitted to the moment its marked copy is published to the learner. The programme is new, so this is a small sample; the figure will update as more answers are checked.
